TAC: Faculty FAQ

When would I schedule an exam at the TAC?

The TAC is meant to be a last resort for instructors who are unable to provide a testing environment for their students that fulfills their accommodations. The TAC should be reached out to after exploring other options across campus. However, once these other options have been explored, please submit your exam requests to the TAC as early as possible in the semester, in order to better ensure we are able to facilitate your exam on a given day.

If I place an exam booking, am I reserving seats for my students?

You are providing the TAC staff with information about your exam, and we will then reach out to your students by email to invite them to schedule with us, if they choose to do so. We want to provide agency and choice to students, as some of them may not choose to use the TAC at all for an exam.

What is the capacity of the TAC?

Our new CCCB testing center serves as our primary hub and has 34 reduced distraction seats and 3 private rooms. The MLB TAC has 45 reduced distraction seats along with 4 private rooms.

When do I need to provide you with a copy of the exam?

The final version of the exam needs to be provided by 8 AM the day before the first exam being taken at the TAC. The exam does not need to be provided at the time of the original booking.

Why can’t I see all of the student reservations?

If a student reservation does not show up under "Alternate Test Room Bookings," it is still pending and will become visible once it has been processed by TAC staff.
