Services for Students with Disabilities

These resources and services are to assist students with disabilities on the U-M campus and in the local community. In some cases, but not all, a student has to register with the SSD office to access these services. Please contact us to learn more about the registration process.

Proctor Options for Out-of-Residence Exams

The LSA Testing Accommodation Center (TAC) serves the College by providing reasonable testing accommodations to students with verified disabilities who are enrolled in LSA courses. The TAC is not available for proctoring exams for out-of-residence coursework. Here is a list of proctor options at the University of Michigan and at other agencies and institutions.

Reading Rooms

Hatcher Graduate Library has two reading rooms that students may use if they need reasonably quiet study environments.

Video Phone - 4th Floor Michigan Union

The Sorenson video phone, previously located on the first floor of the Michigan Union, has moved to the 4th floor. It is now across from the Greek Life Office.

University of Michigan Interactive Campus Map

We are excited to share the newest resource from Campus Information! The new Interactive Campus Map will allow users to easily navigate between campuses, get driving or walking directions and even find the nearest appropriate parking lots. It has also included the location of handicap accessible entrances, and lighted pathways for Central, North and Medical campuses.
