Services for Students with Disabilities

These resources and services are to assist students with disabilities on the U-M campus and in the local community. In most cases, but not all, a student has to register with the SSD office to access these services. Please contact us to learn more about the registration process.

SSD wanted to make you aware of the student support options for Canvas (the system that replaces CTools course sites). Students can contact the ITS Service Center with questions about Canvas and the info for students page on the U-M Canvas project page contains information for students.

The Computer Showcase will host two Canvas Tech Talk sessions at the Michigan Union G-312:

  • Friday, August 26th, 11:00am - 12:00pm
  • Friday, September 2nd, 11:00am - 12:00pm

U-M LSA Testing Accommodation Center

The LSA Testing Accommodation Center (TAC) serves the College by providing reasonable testing accommodations to students with verified disabilities who are enrolled in LSA courses. By creating an appropriate space for completing exams, the Testing Accommodation Center aims to make education accessible for students with verified disabilities. TAC’s mission is to serve both students and instructors through a well-defined process that ensures confidentiality and test security.
