What is the Independent Life $1000 scholarship?

Independent Life Home Care is dedicated to improving the lives of disabled students all over the country. The $1000 Disabled Student Scholarship, offered by Independent Life Home Care, is open to disabled students currently pursuing an associate or bachelor degree.

Who can apply?

Disabled students with a 3.0 GPA who are currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. Proof of disability and GPA will be required before the funds will be released to the winner’s school.

When is the application deadline?

The deadline to apply is December 31st, 2016. The funds will be applied to the Spring 2017 semester.

How many scholarships will there be?

There will be 3 scholarships awarded for the Spring 2017 semester. As Independent Life Home Care grows, we plan to increase scholarship opportunities in the future.

How do I apply?

Submit a short essay (no longer than 600 words) about your life, aspirations and what this scholarship means to you.
Submit a recommendation letter from a teacher, professor, or department head with the applicant clearly identified in the body of the letter.
