As a new semester is upon us, I would like to remind you of Old National's Achieve ABILITY professional mentoring program, specific to students with disabilities. Our partnerships with University Disability Services Offices have made this program tremendously successful, but, to continue our successes, we must gradually build our partnerships, and continually meet students to fill our open mentee spots!
Opportunity: we have four mentee spots open in Evansville, one in Indianapolis, one in Madison Wisconsin, and one in Louisville Kentucky!
If you believe you would benefit, personally and professionally, by a mentoring relationship with an executive leader in your community, please feel free to contact me.
- Students do not have to be interested in banking to participate, we are open to all majors and mindsets. We are hopeful to connect with passionate people, looking to pursue a successful career!
Since launching the program in May 2014, we've connected 18 mentees (students with disabilities) with executive leaders at ONB for the year-long mentoring relationship. We've hired five participants, helped numerous others gain employment – and, have built skills, confidence and networking bases of all participants. Just as important, ONB continues learning more about disability through our relationships with each student: an important goal of the program.
