Open Letter to Parents

Dear Parents,

Below you will find what is hopefully a very helpful and insightful letter from a professional in the disability field, Jane Jarrow. We hope that this letter, along with information from our office, can help you in this transition during this unpredictable time. You and your student no doubt have a lot of questions and concerns. By keeping our website up-to-date and providing information related to COVID-19 and the accommodation process, we hope to reduce confusion and increase clarity of our process for all of you.

Looking forward to a great semester and discussing accommodations and resources with you.

A Message from the Director

Dear Students and Families,

The summer in Ann Arbor is both a well-deserved respite from the academic demands of the past scholastic year, and a time for new students and their families to visit the campus in anticipation of their beginning semester. The excitement of embarking on a new life adventure is palpable as groups of students and families journey through the campus for orientation. As part of that orientation and welcoming process, we invite you to read our newsletter to learn more about how we may assist students in their transition to the University. Our mission is to enhance the experience of students throughout their academic careers at Michigan and set the stage for a successful future. We invite you to contact us and visit our office to learn more about the assistance and services we provide.
