This award honors Adam Miller, the grandson of Saul and Shirley Lederer. Two recipients are chosen annually for awards of $1000 each. Funds are dispersed directly to the students and presented at the annual James T. Neubacher Awards ceremony in honor of Investing in Ability Week.

To be eligible for the Saul and Shirley Lederer award, students must:
Be enrolled at The University of Michigan
Have hearing, visual, and mobility impairments or chronic health issues
Be active in their University community.
Students must submit a current academic transcript and a brief essay detailing the intended use of the award fund. Notice of these awards will be sent through the SSD Student email list.
